Boosted Summon System

Cast utevo amp res instead of the classic utevo res "<name> to open the Boosted Summon picker. Pick a creature on the left, an extra ability on the right, and your summon comes out of the gate with that ability already attached. The base mana cost still applies; each ability adds its own surcharge and consumes one reagent from your inventory.

About reagents: right now every ability uses a crystal coin (placeholder) while we lock down the balancing. The crystal coin is going to be swapped out for a set of custom reagent items, each themed to its ability. Those reagents will drop from bosses, sit inside quest chests, lurk in dungeons and be reachable through crafting down the line.

Active abilities

Tick periodically while the summon is alive — heal, cast, dash, etc.

Mass Healing
Periodically casts Mass Healing around itself, restoring HP to the master, their other summons, and nearby players.

Regeneration
Passively regenerates +5 HP every 2 seconds. Lets the summon shrug off chip damage between fights.

Haste
Periodically applies Haste on itself, sharply boosting the summon's movement speed.

Every 10 seconds, restores 1 mana to the master and pulses a soft glow on the summon's tile.

Every 25 seconds the summon channels a 5-second damage shield that halves all incoming damage.

Every 4 seconds, if a target is more than 2 tiles away, the summon dashes adjacent to it with a flash effect.

Hit-driven abilities

Fire when the summon hits or is hit. Most roll a chance per attack.

Life Steal
On every hit, 40% chance to heal the summon for 15% of the damage dealt.

Selfless
Kills assisted by this summon award full experience to the master, as if the summon weren't there.

How costs are checked

Per-creature ability lists

Every summon has access to the full ability roster by default. A few creatures have hand-picked lists instead — for example Demon Skeleton keeps the standard toolkit and is also the only summon with thematic access to Life Steal in addition to the defaults. More per-creature lists will land as we tune which abilities feel right on which mob.
